Is there a mileage limit?

Yes, but only on our Vans. This is 250 miles per day. Excess mileage charges are at 10 pence per mile plus VAT.

What happens if I return my vehicle late?

If you return the vehicle later than the time specified on your booking form without our consent you will be charged for the additional time that you have the vehicle in your possession. If you are more than 30 minutes late you will be charged for a full day.

I have sent an enquiry online, when will someone contact me?

Once you have sent an enquiry, a member of staff will usually call within 2 hours (within standard working hours). If however, you have not heard anything within this timescale please call our office on 01843 581122.

Is your day rate for 24 hours?

Yes, providing you collect your vehicle at 8am or 5pm. Unless otherwise agreed with the office, for hours such as 12noon one day to 12noon the next, this would be classed as a 2 day hire as it removes the vehicle from our fleet to be able to rent out to anyone else on those 2 days.

Do I need to provide my driving licence?

Yes, you will need to see your Car Driving Licence and you will need to obtain a DVLA check code. A video from the DVLA to explain things in more detail can be found here.

What paperwork do I need to bring with me?

A full driving licence (both photo card and paper counterparts) and two recent utility bills or bank statement confirming your current address.

What should I do if I have a problem with a vehicle?

If you have broken down or had an accident please follow the procedures explained when the vehicle was checked out. Always contact us with any problems and we will do our best to help you.

Can vehicles be dropped off out of hours?

Yes,  you can return the vehicle to our yard out of working hours, however, the hirers remain legally responsible for the vehicle until it has been checked in by our staff the next working day.

Do you hire vehicles that we can take abroad?

All of our vehicles are eligible for European use. Extra costs and terms and conditions may apply.

Do you provide 24-hour vehicle collection?

No, paperwork has to be completed in our office. Please call us for any queries.

Is there an age limit?

Yes, 21 to 75 years and must have been driving for at least 2 years. Over 75’s can still hire but we will need to refer you to our insurance company beforehand.

 Are the prices given inclusive of insurance?

Yes, the price includes comprehensive insurance cover, Nationwide 5* AA Breakdown Cover and VAT. We offer optional excess waiver insurance, which costs £9.95 per day or £39.50 per week.

Can the deposit be paid in cash?

Unfortunately not. All deposits must be paid with a debit or credit card.

Can I hire a vehicle with endorsements on my driving licence?

Details of the endorsements must always be taken. We may need to refer you to our insurance company depending on the amount and seriousness of the endorsements. Please contact our office by phone or email with details to be sure. Ideally, this should be done prior to your collection date.

How many drivers can I have?

The price quoted includes two drivers. Please call us on 01843 581122 to discuss additional drivers.

Can you hire a vehicle one way?

No, unfortunately, all vehicles must be returned to the collection point.

I'm going over the Dartford crossing, what do I need to do?

All of our vehicles are now registered to our account. If you are going over the Dartford crossing then the payment needs to be made to us. If you pay the Dartford crossing charge directly then, unfortunately, you will need to pay us as well in addition.

Future Bookings?

In order to enable you to book with confidence we have increased the flexibility on all future bookings, We will now be accepting unconfirmed bookings which will allow you to place a booking, which can be amended or cancelled at any time without fees for rentals due to start before 18 march 2020. However, once an unconfirmed booking has been confirmed and deposit paid, there will be a cancelation charge for any cancelled bookings. We reserve the right to take the full deposit and hire period under any circumstances.

Whilst we are still open for business we are making temporary changes to our terms and conditions and the way we work. This will enable us to protect our staff and customers more.

Please ask yourself "is this hire absolutely necessary?"

We are now asking customers not to come to the office for general enquires and where possible to email your Driving Licence and check code before arrival. Once your Licence check is complete we will call you for over the phone payment. When you arrive at the office you will be asked to show your Licence and payment card which must be in hirers name.

When given a collection and return time please stick to these times. If you cannot make these times please call the office and we will allocate you another time. This is really important as we are aiming for 1 customer on-site at any one time. When on-site please respect the social distancing procedures put in place. This is for your protection as much as our staffs.
